The investigations, clinical features and management for Rheumatic diseases and arthritis is one of the most repeated topics for medical PG exams across India. Rheumatology Read List for NEET PG 2017

We recommend that you read the following topics from a standard textbook before you appear Rheumatology Power Mock on 24th May 2016. The topics with priority ranking are as follows:

  1. Gout (Often ignored topic by candidates but has the highest repeatability)
  2. Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) (Multi-system disorder appears in all subjects – Platinum access is a good place to learn.
  3. Rheumatoid Arthritis (It’s the 3rd biggest high yielding area, thorough reading necessary)
  4. Osteoarthritis (Often comes in Medicine and Orthopaedics – Differential diagnosis from other arthritis needs good understanding of this topic too)
  5. Ankylosing Spondylitis (This is an exam favourite, often to improve the awareness and diagnosis in clinical practice – a must read)
  6. Behcet’s Syndrome (High probability of mistake – must read)
  7. Fibromyalgia (High probability of mistake – must read)
  8. Antiphospholipid Syndrome (High probability of mistake – must read)

This list is not exclusive but a very good starting point covering 98% of the questions from this topic. Platinum access has new likely questions added from the current advances.
