Ans. C, Fresh frozen plasma
Fresh frozen plasma is indicated for rapid replacement of multiple coagulation deficiencies such as those occurring during liver failure, warfarin overdose, DIC, and massive transfusion in bleeding patients.
Fresh frozen plasma is plasma obtained after the separation of whole blood from RBCs and platelets, and then frozen within 6 hours. Each unit of FFP is 200–250 mL and contains about 1 unit of each coagulation factor and 2 mg of fibrinogen per milliliter.

Ans. C, Factor VIII
Warfarin blocks activation of vitamin K and thereby interferes with hepatic carboxylation of coagulation factors II, VII, IX, and X. And without these vitamin K dependent cofactors, the extrinsic coagulation pathway is blocked. Warfarin also blocks the synthesis of the antithrombotic proteins C and S.
Activated protein C (with protein S and phospholipid as cofactors) proteolysis factors Va and VIIIa of the coagulation cascade. Thus, warfarin has both an antithrombotic effect (through inhibition of factors II, VII, IX, and X) and a thrombotic effect (through inhibition of proteins C and S).
All of the following statements regarding warfarin are True, EXCEPT:
It crosses placenta, should not be given in pregnancy
Vit. K dependent factors is inhibited

Warfarin is contraindicated in pregnancy because it is teratogenic and can cause fetal hemorrhage.
Warfarin reaches peak blood concentrations in 90 minutes and has a circulating half-life of 36 to 42 hours.
